ABOUT DUES:

Members, as you are aware, our membership dues for the remainder of 2017 is due on July 1, 2017.  Since the members approved the change to our membership year last year in our by-laws, half of the annual dues or $22.50 for 2017 is due for the period July 1 through December 31, 2017.  If you also would like to pay the $45.00 dues that will be due prior to January 1, 2018 at this time, the total amount due is $67.50 which will bring your membership current through 2018.  Additional information concerning membership dues can be found under Membership tab under Chapter Information.

We have currently 80 members.

Dues are used to pay expenses including rent for the Clearwater studio.  Our five year lease that we signed in 2013 will be up on January 15, 2018.  At that time, the annual rent will increase from $3,366 to $5,890.50 and we will be moved to an annual lease.  Although this is a 75% increase, we are still at a below market rate and it is the intent of the City of Concord to always keep it that way.

You can either pay your dues at the next meeting or mail your check payable to Southern Piedmont Woodturners to our Treasurer, Cindy Boehrns at 11922 Glen Hope Drive, Charlotte, NC  28269.  Please note that to vote at our annual election in July, your membership dues must be current. If you wish to make an additional donation to the club or to the Roland Hege Scholarship Fund, please make a note of that when you send your check.
